Emergency preparedness and response (EPR)

This programme is led by a public health specialist or field epidemiologist. It is concerned with preparedness and response to disease outbreaks (like cholera), natural disasters (floods, earthquakes) and humanitarian response. The following activities are carried out under this programme:
  • Disease surveillance (active and passive),
  • Outbreak investigation and response,
  • Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) monitoring,
  • Humanitarian response,
  • Building resilient in┬áhealth facilities for outbreak response,
